Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: samba
During the upgrade from 8.10 - 9.04, Samba did not install for some
reason.
The install system brought be to launchpad system and asked I log a bug.
I am afraid I don't many details, I can provide log files but as I am still very new to Linux, I'd need to be to which files and exactly where they are. (Sorry).
I have subsequently forced a full re-install of Samba and got some
functionality back, but it is still not working properly (Linux can
browse the Windows network, but not the other way round). I am not sure
if this is down to a problem with Jaunty or my own inexperience.
