Hello,
I installed Ubuntu 8.10, and after installed all updates, samba doesn't work. I can't connect to my shares (localhost).
In network place, I received "Failed to retreive share list from server".
I've not change smb.conf. I've two shares created by the graphical method with nautilus-share, with guest allow.
Iptables accept all connections.
When I try :
rems14 at nkbp:~$ smbclient //nkbp/public
Enter rems14's password:
Anonymous login successful
Domain=[WORKGROUP] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.2.3]
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME
With loglevel set to 2, I get following messages in
/var/log/samba/log.nkbp :
[2009/04/17 21:42:15, 2] auth/auth.c:check_ntlm_password(318)
check_ntlm_password: Authentication for user [rems14] -> [rems14] FAILED with error NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD
[2009/04/17 21:42:15, 0] param/loadparm.c:process_usershare_file(8282)
process_usershare_file: stat of /var/lib/samba/usershares/public failed. Permission non accordée
[2009/04/17 21:42:15, 0] smbd/service.c:make_connection_snum(1156)
'/home/rems14/Public' does not exist or permission denied when connecting to [public] Error was Permission non accordée
ls -l /home/rems14 gives :
drwxrwxrwx 2 rems14 rems14 4096 2009-04-02 23:04 Public
Thanks
