After installing a LAMP-stack in Hardy, if you run /etc/init.d/mysql
status without root privileges, you get an error:
user at host:~$ /etc/init.d/mysql status
cat: /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid: Permission denied
open: Permission denied
* MySQL is stopped.
But MySQL isn't stopped.
