I can confirm that removing winbind is a fix for this problem. I have
been chasing Java and flash for the past two days looking for a
solution. Unfortunately as  TrReardon stated this is not a viable
solution since without winbind I can't reach my network drives. I don't
want to have to ultimately have to choose between the two.
