The cause of the failure was:
=====

  Backing up /etc/ldap/slapd.conf in /var/backups/slapd-2.2.26-5ubuntu3.1... done.
  Updating config access directives... done.
  Moving old database directories to /var/backups:

  - directory dc=beyerswelt,dc=de...
  - directory dc=beyerswelt,dc=de... fixing
  - directory dc=beyerswelt,dc=de... fixing, failed.
Loading the database from the LDIF dump failed with the following
error while running slapadd:
    slapadd: line 14: database (dc=beyerswelt,dc=de) not configured to hold "dc=beyer,dc=dyndns,dc=org"

Affecting to openldap.

I'm closing it because it seems you've fixed it by removing ldap but
don't hesitate to reopen if it's still an issue.

** Changed in: openldap (Ubuntu)
Sourcepackagename: update-manager => openldap
       Status: Confirmed => Incomplete
