Public bug reported:

1. Ran Update Manager... it suggested update to Heron
2. All ran okay to point where it arrived at samba where it listed some choices...
3. I chose to open shell and have a look... it opened in the terminal
4. I thought better of it and EXITed
5. Not a good scheme it seems ... several error messages but thought I'd better let the thing continue... which it did.
6. After restarting.... Package Problem alert "Sorry, the package "xserver-xorg" failed to install or upgrade"
7. That's all there is to it... from memory.

Further to below:
1. Ubuntu 8.04
