Laptop:
eth0: 100 Mb/s in full duplex
Disk throughput: 44,60 MB/s.

Server eth0: 100 Mb/s in full duplex
Disk throughput: 45,20 MB/s.

I'll try pscp tomorrow.

Yes, I've tried copying a file from the server to the laptop over HTTP. 
I have apache installed on the server and I tested downloading the Ubuntu iso from it and I got 10-13 MB/s
