[Bug 240239] [NEW] MySQL replication - Debian quirks undocumented

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mysql-server-5.0

In the provided my.cnf file:

# note: if you are setting up a replication slave, see README.Debian about
# other settings you may need to change.

Yet the README.Debian only has a section called "FURTHER NOTES ON
REPLICATION" (no initial notes, just a brief paragraph of "further
notes" - did a vital section get cut here?). That section has nothing
about other settings that need to be changed.

There is at least one important one. Importing the databases from the
master will result in the "password" setting in /etc/mysql/debian.cnf
being wrong on the slave; it needs to be changed to the password on the
master. This is a Debian-only complication, not MySQL per se, so Debian
should document it, yes?

There may at least one other, since replication isn't working yet for
me, despite following the standard doc at mysql.com.

** Affects: mysql-dfsg-5.0 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
