This bug was introduced in a regression between Samba 3.0.28 and Samba
3.0.28a. This appears to affect Windows 2003 and possibly other versions
of windows. The git commit can be found at
http://git.samba.org/?p=samba.git;a=commit;h=67f90361a07841972a01a4faf575da25ebbbb29c.
I have attached the debdiff for your review. Without this patch users
will have troubles using natuilius.

TEST CASE

1. Install Windows 2003 Small Business Server)
2. Use nautilius

Please note I made this version of Samba available in my ppa and users
have reported success with it.
