  Sometimes I get the "Route Error" - but not always. I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 AMD64 Alteranative

+ From the latest comments it appears that the routes are pushed correctly by OpenVPN, but that network-manager or network-manager-openvpn undo the route changes.
