Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: samba

I tried to set up shared folders through the Xubuntu UI (System > Shared
Folders). I was prompted to install NFS and/or SMB, so I chose both. A
dependency problem with NFS was identified and it was left unconfigured.
I decided I didn't need NFS so uninstalled both nfs-common and nfs-
kernel-server through Synaptic. I could not get the Shared Folders
application to allow me to set up SMB alone, so I went into Synaptic and
tried to reinstall Samba. That reinstallation gave the current error.
