A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Available with Ubuntu Pro)

Summary:

Django could be made to consume resources if it received specially crafted
network traffic.

Software Description:
- python-django: High-level Python web development framework

Details:

USN-6203-1 fixed a vulnerability in Django. This update provides
the corresponding update for Ubuntu 18.04 ESM.

Original advisory details:

 Seokchan Yoon discovered that Django incorrectly handled certain regular
 expressions. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to cause
 Django to consume resources, leading to a denial of service.

Update instructions:

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Available with Ubuntu Pro):
  python-django                   1:1.11.11-1ubuntu1.21+esm1
  python3-django                  1:1.11.11-1ubuntu1.21+esm1

In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
