A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 21.10
- Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

Summary:

Several security issues were fixed in Exempi.

Software Description:
- exempi: library to parse XMP metadata

Details:

It was discovered that Exempi incorrectly handled certain media files. If a
user or automated system were tricked into opening a specially crafted
file, a remote attacker could cause Exempi to stop responding or crash,
resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.

Update instructions:

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

Ubuntu 21.10:
