A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

- Ubuntu 21.10
- Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Summary:

waitress could be made to expose sensitive information if it received
a specially crafted request.

Software Description:
- waitress: production-quality pure-Python WSGI server (documentation)

Details:

It was discovered that Waitress incorrectly handled certain requests.
An attacker could possibly use this issue to expose sensitive information.

Update instructions:

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

Ubuntu 21.10:
  python3-waitress                1.4.4-1.1ubuntu0.1

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS:
  python3-waitress                1.4.1-1ubuntu0.1

In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
