A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:
- Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Summary:
The system could be made to expose sensitive information.
Software Description:
- xscreensaver: Automatic screensaver for X
Details:
It was discovered that XScreenSaver incorrectly handled unplugging an
external monitor. An attacker with physical access could use this flaw to
gain access to a locked session.
Update instructions:
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS:
xscreensaver 5.15-2ubuntu1.1
After a standard system update you need to restart your session to make
all the necessary changes.
