gparted vulnerability

A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

- Ubuntu 12.04 LTS


GParted could be made to run programs as an administrator.

Wolfgang Ettlinger discovered that GParted incorrectly filtered shell
metacharacters when running external commands. A local attacker could use

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS:
  gparted                         0.11.0-2ubuntu0.1

In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
