Ensuring Quality in Ubuntu Translations

Detta problem är inte unikt för Sverige. Det verkar som om alla team har 
interna stridigheter (holländarna m.fl).

Mitt förslag (kortsiktigt i väntan på bättre).

1. Låt översättare översätta "offline" via en PO-editor
2. Skicka översättningar till granskarna
3. Granskarna commitar till Rosetta eller avslår
4. Granskarna ser vad som saknas och kan delegera jobb

Angående Sonefors kommentar om dåliga översättningar så håller jag med. 
Jag var själv nybörjare en gång och ser man tillbaka på de första jag 
gjorde (de flesta debconf/pkgconf fram till december förra året) skäms 
jag nästan över. De kommer så klart att revideras.. någon gång.

Ett annat tips till nya översättare. Gå med i ett "upstream-team"!
GNOME, KDE, Translation Project osv. Man lär sig så mycket bara genom 
att läsa sändlistorna (folk som skickar in, folk som granskar, 
diskussioner om ord).


Bra kommentar från Herr Shuttleworth på rosetta-users:

"We will certainly build a review process into Rosetta (together with 
commentary). However, that might take up to a year to get right. In the 
shorter term, I really like the approach of controlling access to the 
teams carefully. Launchpad's team membership gives you the ability to 
keep track of people who want access to the translations.
Allow people to apply for membership, then let them translate a little 
(their translations will not become official, they will be 
"suggestions"). We can in the short term give a way to see the 
suggestions contributed by a particular person, so that you can fairly 
easily review the work done by someone. Then, if that work is of a high 
enough standard, you could approve their membership in the team, and 
they get the ability to "commit" without review."

P.S  Jag kommer att uppdatera alla ej färdiga GNOME-moduler under påsk.
Det är ca 14000 strängar. Då gäller det att ha tungan rätt i munnen...
