.srt issue : text disappears

I've done a bit of testing and found that VLC only seems to have this
problem with the OGG version. The MOV and MP4 versions work ok, as does
the streamed flash version from googlevideo.

I've downloaded a fresh version of each file and get the same results.
The strange thing is the the OGG version works on Mplayer and Totem
without any problems.

The same happens with the customising ubuntu subtitles and installing
updates on kubuntu loses some too.
