I think I need more information here:

Why was the re-vendoring needed? When we merge from master, what has changed?

Why do we remove the temporary build path? How do we reach the conclusion that it's not needed anymore?


3. sha:7dddf95fa5956f37b67c3d689d3a35781043697e

Can you please add the revert of the patch here as well?
