Have you seen the work @ https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu-image for the new ubuntu image building tool?

Did current livecd-rootfs using binary hooks not suit your needs?

I don't see kiwi in the archive, who will maintain kiwi?

You have a custom cryptsetup in your PPA https://launchpad.net/~nemos-team/+archive/ubuntu/livecd-rootfs/+packages. Was there a specific patch required?

While I do like kiwi and how they configure image builds, adding it to livecd-rootfs seems a departure from any image building plans I am aware of.
