Focal doesn't have GLib.Thread.new, just as Bionic. Propagate its changes to Focal.

Tested that the exception of the linked bug is not raised anymore through network disconnection/reconnection, and that after reconnection proceeding to submit the PIN to pro/attach enables the attachment to continue to an successfull end.
