We are in beta freeze atm, and it's not the best time to merge this:

<ahasenack> hi release team, am I right that we should refrain from merging this MP (https://code.launchpad.net/~alexmurray/ubuntu-seeds/+git/ubuntu-seeds/+merge/417621) now, and wait for next week?
<ahasenack> it makes iptables optional, and adds nftables to main (also optional, aka, recommends)
<bdmurray> Yes, we aren't likely to have a rebuild but if I we do that would be taken into account

As soon as the beta is officially released, then we can do it.
