The things I want to check before giving this a +1:

Oracle we provide a qcow. ensure that Oracle hosts have compatibility for 1.1

IBM Guest we provide a qcow. ensure IBM NextGen VPC hosts have compatibility for 1.1

we also use this for our downloads .img and kvm based images. We don't specify what host / HV to use with them. That being said, I think it's generally safe to assume that if Xenial has a qemu new enough that other major hosts would be fine.
