Hi Robie!

I think this is a reasonable approach.

As regards what I wrote at the ubuntu-devel list about language packs, I was wrong. Only the man pages are translated, and the language packs don't play a role for those. I noticed that we still have a debianutils translation template at LP:

which confused me. The thing is that that template is unnecessary, and that Ubuntu translators have spent time on it unnecessarily. I'll try to get rid of it, but that's off topic here.

I submitted a MR to your branch, which adds back the translations of the tempfile manpage. Hopefully you agree that's a small improvement.
