Have you tested this?  My understanding of the xorriso options is that the eltorito.img *is* supposed to be inside the iso9660 filesystem.  So I'm not sure if this works; and I don't believe it saves us any space since the eltorito.img is referenced in the iso9660 fs (a pointer), not copied
