By "we" do you mean official ubuntu-mate team ? In that case, contact me
on community.ubuntu.com.

Indicator-datetime requires lots of changes including the upcoming api
break from eds. Someone from community proposed to remove phone realted
code and go back to c. Not sure if it is still possible.
