I agree that this shouldn't stay in main "for us" nor do I see a need to be on server-ship in particular.

I'm tempted to suggest removing it from platform-git/supported-sysadmin-common as well, but maybe I just don't know the use case which might be important.
If you find anyone while working on this explaining real important use cases please add a comment about it there.

For now +1 on removing the redundant dependency and for dropping from server-ship - no need to be there.

P.S. I'm not so sure tomcat examples are really meant to be pulled in - would you mind opening a bug against tomcat8 to add "Extra-Exclude: tomcat8-examples tomcat8-docs" to supported (if they agree). Their (foundations) call but I'd like to know they are aware.
