Another 'fix' suggested is to 
Open
/etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf

add lines
[device]
wifi.scan-rand-mac-address=no

then
sudo service network-manager restart

I'm fine with just changing the nameservers as previously mentoned, in
any event users shouldn't have to do anything. (even with a limited
support period release like 17.04
