Do not merge.

Please abandon this proposal. I tested it and it does not work. It requires other patches to be merged and is not a small change.

If anyone wants to try you will need also Change-Id: Ic3a3c73898aa868d6c510639ab12d2401dcb5001 Closes-Bug: #1539179

Also you need to change settings in Ceph as described in the Mitaka Release notes.

I would say this goes too far for merging in stable/liberty.
