Public bug reported:

When writing code that needs to know if the device screen is currently
on or off, there is no way of getting the current (initial) value of the
DisplayPowerState property.

I would expect either get access to this property through the standard
org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties interface or have a explicit getter as
part of com.canonical.Unity.Screen interface.
