Note to the reviewer: this requires oxide 1.9 to be tested (the change won’t have any visible impact with earlier versions of oxide, including 1.8 which is the current release).

Oxide 1.9.0 can be installed from the phablet-team PPA: https://launchpad.net/~phablet-team/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+packages.
