I tested a few scenarios for the geolocation prompts, here are the results:

#1: fresh flash of the latest rc-proposed (with --wipe), no confinement: no trust prompt for location, only the oxide prompt, the system silently allows queries to the location service

#2: fresh flash as above + confinement (i.e. installed webbrowser-app packages from silo 59): oxide prompt then trust prompt for the first request, only oxide prompt for subsequent requests

#3: upgrade scenario: from no confinement and permission already prompted (and automatically granted, see #1): same as #2

This seems like a reasonable behaviour to me in all cases. The only thing that we might want to tweak is to have the location service’s trust store be prepopulated with webbrowser-app to avoid the system prompt, given that there is a per-domain prompt issued by the browser anyway. I’m discussing this with tvoss.
