Damn, this doesn't work in Vivid!
Running "ibus-setup" throws the same error that I mentioned in a comment in the bug report:
    (ibus-setup:2680): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.freedesktop.ibus.general.xkblayoutconfig' is not installed

But this patch works as intended in Trusty without throwing this error. Very strange!
