The proposal to merge lp:~panfaust/kubuntu-packaging-next/plasma-workspace-work into lp:~kubuntu-packagers/kubuntu-packaging-next/plasma-workspace has been updated.

Description changed to:

Improve so plasma-workspace doesn't need to execute dpkg-architecture at runtime.

When testing plasma I realized that startkde needed to run dpkg-architecture. The first solution which came to my mind was adding a dependency on dpkg-dev. Then, I also realized this must be because a kubuntu specific patch; and indeed it's because of kubuntu_add-qml2-path.diff, so I think changing this patch would be a better solution than depending on dpkg-dev. Also note that this new version of the patch hardcodes the arch dependent path in startkde, but this shouldn't be a problem because startkde is installed in /usr/bin by an arch any package (binary package plasma-workspace).
