I've made a couple of fixes addressing your comments;

I also removed the installWatch as I won't be able to hook to any event for installation that is public/consumable and would need to query the status through libclick.

And added a penalty on the next poll if the previous one returns an error (this would need fine tuning) and is independent from network state (on/off) which I need to query for anyways.
