It's a patch from upstream, which was commited (on upstream) by Mario Limonciello. In git terms, I'd be the committer and Mario the author - I don't know what the semantics here are. I did the patch formatting (using quilt and such) but the actual code fix is from Mario.

I'm now redoing it, to mark me as the author in the changelog and mention Mario in the changelog message.
