Hi Aron!
I really have no strong opinion about this. AFAIK the ISO limit is 1000 MB nowadays, and if that opens possibilities to seed more sensible IM packages for a couple of big Asian languages, why not take that chance?

I suppose the idea then would be to facilitate ibus dependent input methods without a need to install the language - just as we ship a few font packages, e.g. fonts-droid.

I guess this needs to be discussed further, maybe on the bug report. To prevent that this MP shows up in the sponsorship queue in the meantime, I changed the status to "Work in progress".
