Blueprint changed by Jörn Schönyan:

Whiteboard changed:
[amjjawad] to completely change the Auto Login Settings, you do need to
configure a file, that is correct. However, to disable the password at
Login Time and just click on "Login" to log to your Desktop, this can be
done via GUI which is already exist by default with Lubuntu:

Menu > System Tools > Users and Groups

  http://askubuntu.com/questions/182274/how-to-disable-autologin-in-
  lubuntu

[vanyok] Yes, AJ, that's clear. I'm referring to the situation when
during installation I chosen autologin, but in one day I decided that
I'd like to protect with a password (not autologin).

[gilir] Basicly, you need a GUI to configure lightdm. Currently, nothing exist to configure autologin. We need someone to develop it.

+ [joern-schoenyan] I've talked with gilir about that and start developing
+ a tool for login settings. I'm thinking about adding support to change
+ Plymouth themes and stuff, so that the tool covers most things from boot
+ to login. But be aware that this will not arrive in Trusty as it is most
+ likely too late to add new features. Of course, for the interested
+ people there should be a PPA.
