This seems unnecessary these days.  We've renamed the 'boost' source package to version specific ones.  Like boost-mpi-source1.53 or boost-mpi-source1.54.  And those build using the default g++ on the system (4.8 on trusty).  Meanwhile, the boost source package is obsolete and unused.

But good eye and fix!  I see you were helping with bug 280453.  I'll mark this branch as rejected and mark that bug invalid for the boost source package.  g++-4.2 is no longer in the archive.

If I'm wrong, please let me know!  Thanks for the patch, even if we didn't end up using it!
