The proposal to merge lp:~mitya57/ubuntu/trusty/python-imaging/1.1.7+2.0.0-1.1ubuntu1 into lp:ubuntu/python-imaging has been updated.

Description changed to:

This fixes issues with unsatisfiable Depends, i.e.: asymptote/i386 unsatisfiable Depends: python-pil.

Debian had all binary packages from this source renamed to their python-policy-compliant names. As we had wrong package names in a stable release (Saucy), we need to have transitional packages, at least for this cycle.

Also, both previous changes (PngImagePlugin and autopkgtest) are not really Ubuntu-specific and need to be applied in Debian.

python-imaging (1.1.7+2.0.0-1.1ubuntu1) trusty; urgency=low

  * Merge with Debian unstable, remaining changes:
    - Add PngImagePlugin.py to PILcompat directory.
    - Add autopkgtest.
  * Provide transitional packages for all old packages to their new
    python-policy-compliant names.
