Can you please give more info about the patch in the header?  I still don't know where the changes came from.  Did you revert some commit? Did you author this yourself?  What is the purpose, why is it needed and when can it be dropped?  We seem to have a tendenacy of adding these types of patches with no context, and end up carrying them indefinitely.
