Thanks for this. That does not actually run the (built) tests against the installed packages, as autopkgtest requires, but against the built tree apparently. So this test should happen during package build and fail the build if a test fails; that needs to happen in debian/rules in dh_auto_test.

If you find an easy way to run the upstream tests or some new Ubuntu smoke test against the installed packages, that should happen in autopkgtest. Then debian/tests/control should grow a dependency to a package which uses the QtPim modules/libraries, and make sure that this works (only coarsely, the fine details can be covered in the upstream tests during build).
