The diff looks good, though the changelog doesn't.

We require all changes to be done to the development release, currently "precise" before doing an SRU for existing releases like oneiric.

So unless this has already been fixed in precise, you should target that fix to precise (with version -1ubuntu1) and then have a second branch targetting oneiric-proposed (with version -1ubuntu0.1).

Also, as this package has been synced as-is from Debian, I'd definitely recommend you to check that the bug is also present over there and if so, have it fixed in Debian. This will ensure we don't loose your change in the future and will decrease our workload when merging from Debian.

I'm marking this branch as work in progress for now, please switch it back to needs review when you've updated it or opened a bug against Debian.
