<p>Hi,<br>
<br>
I would like to request a Micro Release Exception for the HAProxy
package in all supported Ubuntu LTS releases. I put together a
wiki page describing everything I judged pertinent to the MRE
here:<br>
<br>
<a href="https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HAProxyUpdates"
target="_blank"
data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HAProxyUpdates&source=gmail&ust=1656100249576000&usg=AOvVaw2-pUBcB11lhqQ0IFVrlZNs">https://wiki.ubuntu.com/<wbr>HAProxyUpdates</a><br>
</p>
<div><span lang="en"><span><span>In all Ubuntu LTS releases we have
LTS versions of HAProxy and upstream has carefully fixed
bugs in them.</span></span></span></div>
<br>
Unfortunately, the package does not run upstream tests during build
time because it relies on an external framework for testing (better
explained in the wiki page), however, upstream has defined some
great CI pipelines which run all the tests and more against all the
supported branches. The package does contain some DEP-8 tests, and
we (Server team) have been working to increase the coverage, for
instance we have added a couple of SSL related tests in Ubuntu and
they are already merged in Debian (will be available in the next
upload). If the MRE is granted for HAProxy, all the new DEP-8 tests
will be included in the future releases.<br>
<br>
Thank you in advance for considering this request, and please let me
know if you need more information.<font color="#888888"><br>
