The kernel that landed in yakkety this week caused critical regressions for the "alternate" installer, affecting Ubuntu Server and Lubuntu Alternate images. Resolving this issue will require a further kernel respin, which unfortunately was not discovered until the end of day Friday (after several respins had already been done), so there's no possibility of releasing these images until Monday.
