Yes, it is.
All our point release is accumulation of:
- all the security updates
- all the stable release updates
since the original release as well as update installation media.
You indicate that you are already running the Ubuntu 12.04 release. If
you have all the updates installed, then you are in effect running
12.04.1. Please check in software centre, update manager or by using
command line utilities that there are no outstanding updates
available.
