== What was done engineering wise? ==

We received a Beta Freeze exception last week and uploaded the
linux-3.2.0-17.27 Ubuntu kernel in time for the Beta-1 release. This
contained a critical fix which has allowed us to enable plain RC6 by
default for Sandy Bridge [1].

We have pushed any remaining Beta-1 work items out to Beta-2. None of
which are release critical.

== What's about to land that might impact the other teams? ==

We have been queuing quite a few patches during the Beta Freeze. Some
of the more notable changes include rebases to v3.2.7, v3.2.8, and
v3.2.9 upstream stable releases, an updated set of AppArmor patches,
support for Intel Lynx Point devices, and a few misc config changes for
powerpc.

We intend to upload 3.2.0-18.28 as soon as possible. However, we are
coordinating this upload with an upload of gcc. Thus, we will wait to
upload until gcc is built and in the archive.
