=== What was done engineering wise? ===

Still certifying systems for Precise and raising bugs as appropriate. Both Quantal and Precise+ weekly testing are in progress as well, we'll be raising bugs as appropriate.

=== What's about to land that might impact the other teams? ===

Nothing of note

=== Release Notes ===

None.

=== Summary of bugs working on by team ===

The following bugs are blocking certification of systems with Precise (* means new to the report):

910792 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/910792> Add support for Cirrus Logic CS4213 (HDA Intel Codec)

Testing with -updates

994274 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/994274> [Lenovo SL410] Mute button requires you to hit a volume button

This is found to be a duplicate ofhttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/595896

994685 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/994685> [Dell Inspiron 17] Headphone jack outputs no sound

This looks to be in progress. Being discussed between diwic and herton

994790 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/994790> [Dell XT3] Firewire does not work

Still waiting on further information from our side - need some extra hardware to test

994809 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/994809> [Dell XT3] Wi-fi slider doesn't remove hard block from wi-fi device

Waiting on further information from our side

960311 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/960311> Networking on Dell PowerEdge R300 with Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5722 Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express is not functional

This looks more and more like a firmware bug. Even testing with Oneiric fails now.

978929 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/978929> [Lenovo Thinkpad T420] SD Card-reader non functional

This is an upstream issue and we openedhttp://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43370. However we have a growing suspicion that the card reader is actually broken on this system.

990575 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/990575> Entire desktop becomes unresponsive after suspend/resume

Fixed in updates, but other issues are presenting on this system.

1010175 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1010175> [Dell Inspiron 1129 Model M101z]: Internal microphone does not work.

Marked as Invalid.

1002703 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002703> Broadcom STA driver can't install on systems

Need to check if -updates fixes this

1014744 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1014744> [Lenovo Thinkpad SL510] Mute buttons don't work *

This has also been marked as a duplicate ofhttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/595896

1008867 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1008867> can't wake up from suspend

Needs information from our side

992720 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/992720> [Lenovo E420s] Hitting brightness keys causes machine to lock up

We need to create an upstream bug and test some kernels

759213 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/759213> [HP Compaq 6005 Pro] Suspend does not resume

We need to open an upstream bug.

1012740 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1012740> [Dell Latitude E6410] Becomes unresponsive after suspending/resuming several times

Still bisecting here

1002170 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1002170> system halted while idled for a long time.

Being worked on.

1009585 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1009585> [Dell Vostro 460]: System is unresponsive after Unity login screen.

Still no log files but was marked Confirmed by the kernel team. Upstream testing was done:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1009585/comments/11

Looks like we need next steps though.

992087 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/992087> [Vostro 3450] No sound from internal speakers

We need to raise an upstream bug

=== Dependencies on other teams, blocking items? ===

1013843 <https://launchpad.net/bugs/1013843> resolv.conf empty when doing PXE installations

We're still hacking around this and hoping for a resolution soon

1021293 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/checkbox-satellite/+bug/1021293> Ubuntu 12.04 install stalls when doing apt-get upgrade

We've recently encountered this issue when doing backports kernel testing. It is going to block us from completing SRU testing as well, so we need it to be rapidly escalated. It is being looked at at the moment, but I'll check the status tomorrow and take it from there.

=== Issues? ===

None
