=== What was done engineering wise? ===
We have recently rebased our Raring kernel to the final upstream v3.7
release and uploaded. We will keep the kernel in the Raring archive on
a v3.7 based kernel until a few upstream v3.8-rc# iterations have
passed. We'll then upload a v3.8 based kernel and remain on the v3.8
kernel for the remainder of the Raring cycle. We would also like to
note that we have uploaded our Raring kernel to the
ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/r-lts-backport PPA to facilitate testing of the 13.04
kernel in 12.04.
We are also monitoring the 12.04.2 point release which will ship with a
12.10 kernel and X stack by default. The policies and procedures
regarding the 12.04.2 point release and the 12.10 enablement stack have
been documented [1]. If there are any remaining questions or concerns,
we need to know about them immediately. We have also been working to
provide support for Haswell systems via the 12.04.2 point release and
the 12.10 enablement stack. The kernel currently making it's way
through quantal-proposed should provide this enablement.
