Hi All,

I'm sending this out early since I'll be away for Friday's release
meeting. Andy Whitcroft (apw) will be standing in for me at the
meeting.

Overall status is reported at the first link below. Burn down for
Precise Alpha-1 is at the second link below. Burndown for the cycle is
at the third link:

== What was done engineering wise? ==

This past week the Ubuntu kernel team uploaded the first Precise v3.2
based kernel. We discovered some issues with the wl DKMS package
breaking due to the v3.2 kernel. tseliot has uploaded a fix. We also
re-enabled the brcmsmac driver which was inadvertently disabled.
Additionally, we're seeing some suspend/resume and shutdown issues on
Intel Atom hardware. This should resolve itself when we rebase to
v3.2-rc3. We expect v3.2-rc3 to drop relatively soon. Should it land
in time for Alpha-1, we will upload it.

We are making good progress on our Alpha-1 work items none of which are
critical for the Alpha-1 release.

== What's about to land that might impact the other teams? ==

As noted above, we'll likely be rebasing to v3.2-rc3 soon and uploading.
As always, we appreciate any testing feedback.

The discussion around dropping support for the i386 non-pae kernel
flavor is still ongoing. We will hopefully come to a decision next
week. We will be sure to relay the resulting outcome both here and to
the ubuntu-devel/ubuntu-kernel mailing lists..

== Summary of bugs working on by team (reasonably reliable) ==

Aside from the immediate bugs we've fixed up this week, we're still
tentatively keeping an eye on the following bugs:

 * Bug:818830 - [Sandy Bridge] serious power regression from kernel 3.0.0-6 to 3.0.0-7 (rc6 disabled)
 * Bug:855124 - XRANDR operations very slow unless (phantom) HDMI1 disabled
 * Bug:753071 - Include DRM OMAP driver to have proper EDID detection
 * Bug:836250 - Intel Corporation Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 poor networking
 * Bug:892615 - 3.2.0-1-generic: completely fails to boot on Geode LX

== Dependencies on other teams, blocking items ==
None.

== Issues? ==
None.
